🧙🏼‍♀️ Cauldron Workshop at Blend at The Contemporary!

Get ready for a spooky, creative evening! Join us at Blend at The Contemporary for a hands-on pottery workshop with Heather, owner of Hallo Ceramics, where you'll build your very own handmade ceramic Halloween cauldron from clay.

Using fresh clay, Heather will guide you through building your cauldron completely by hand. Embrace the wonderfully wonky nature of hand-building as you shape your pot, add sturdy feet, and create a beautifully curved cauldron handles. Once your cauldron is assembled, it's time for the fun part; decorating! Add 3D pumpkins, ghosts, bats, spiders, mushrooms, stars, moons, or any other spooky & witchy details you can dream up before finishing your piece with colourful underglazes to make it uniquely yours. 🎃

Whether you love Halloween or simply enjoy getting creative, this workshop is the perfect way to spend an autumn evening. It's completely beginner-friendly, so no pottery experience is needed, just come ready to get your hands muddy! All tools, materials, and tuition are included, and Heather will be there to guide you through every step of the process.

After the workshop, your cauldron will be professionally dried, glazed, and kiln-fired before being returned to the venue for collection, ready to fill with sweets, brew up some potions, display as seasonal décor, or treasure for many Halloweens to come.

Things to Know

• No physical ticket required—we’ll check you in on arrival.

• Please arrive on time so you don’t miss the demonstration.

• Drinks & snacks can be purchased from Blend throughout!

• Shorter nails preferred but not essential.

If you can’t make it, let us know as soon as possible so we can refill your spot.

• Cancellations up to 5 days before: £15 fee retained (not including workshop day)

• No refunds within 3 days of the workshop (not including workshop day)
