OUR MUCKY MONTHLY EVENT
Our Pots and Pints sessions are here to make clay more accessible to those looking to explore the medium whilst being in a fun, friendly, safe and social environment. You'll pinch, sculpt and slab your way through the events, finishing with a beautiful creations and some new friends, too. There are fun games and surprises throughout each evening, so feel welcome to attend any (or all!). No previous pottery experience is required and you are taken through each stage step by step, with help on hand all evening. Oh! And you will receive your first drink on us! Delicious.
Totally in love with what your magnificent hands have made? Good news! You will be given the option at the end of the evening to get your pieces professionally fired and glazed for you, for a wee extra charge of £4-£5, dependent on the brief. Your build will be ready to collect from Rough Trade Nottingham once ready. All you have to do is grab a ticket, bring your mates, dates, mums, sons, or just your fine self. There'll be plenty of kind people attending and you will leave the evening with new muddy pals. See the images below to get a feel of the evening!
Pots and Pints is ran with my joint business 'The Kilnhouse Nottingham', which I run with my best friend of 16+ years, who is also an amazing ceramict!

PEOPLE PLATES & PAINTS - ROUGH TRADE NOTTINGHAM
06/02 - DOORS: 6PM, START: 6:30PM, END: 9:30PM
Join Heather and Emma on Thursday February 6th at Rough Trade Nottingham for an afternoon of making People Plates & Paints! After grabbing your free drink and settling down for the evening, we'll kick things off with a silly game to get you introduced to the clay and your new table friends! There will be games and prizes throughout the evening and guidance to help you create your desired People Plate design!
'People Plates' are little trinket size plates that can be inspired by your favourite people/idols in your life, you could dream up a brand new person on the night or perhaps a self-portrait! After using your spare clay to add facial and bodily features, you can then use the paints available to add delicate details such as eye colour, freckles, tattoos and much more!

HANGING PLANTERS - ROUGH TRADE NOTTINGHAM

After grabbing your free drink and settling down for the afternoon, we'll kick things off with a silly game to get you introduced to the clay and your new table friends! There will be games and prizes throughout the event and guidance to help you create your desired Hanging Planter design!
A hanging planter is a hand-built plant pot that will have little holes along the rim for you to add rope for your planter and plant to hang.

Join Heather and Emma on Thursday March 6th at Rough Trade Nottingham for an evening of making Body Pots! Celebrate this important day with us where we'll be highlighting all the beautiful versions of the female form in our welcoming safe space, where difference is valued and celebrated. 🧡

There will be games and prizes throughout the evening and guidance to help you create your desired Body Pot design! Once your Body Pot is fired and complete, you will be able to place buds inside!

CREATURE CANDLE HOLDERS! - ROUGH TRADE NOTTINGHAM

Join Heather and Emma on Sunday March 16th at Rough Trade Nottingham for an afternoon of making Creature Candle Holders! After grabbing your free drink and settling down for the afternoon, we'll kick things off with a silly game to get you introduced to the clay and your new table friends! There will be games and prizes throughout the afternoon and guidance to help you create your desired Candle Holder design!
These candle holders shall be inspired by creatures; whether that is your pet, a fantasy creature or something you make up on the night, the choice is up to you! Each will then have a space to fit a tea light or dinner candle!
